Isaac Howard, 72, died this noon at his home 342 South Davis street. He was the son of Isaac and Elizabeth Howard and was born June 11, 1862 in England. He had worked all his life as a coal miner until his retirement 14 years ago. He is survived by his wife Sarah; one daughter, Mrs. Eliza Lewis of Newton; three sons, Ike of Westville, Illinois, John and James of Ottumwa, four sisters; Mrs. Harriet Stuchel of Avery, Mrs. Margaret Cunningham and Mrs. Maria Hyde of Des Moines, and Mrs. Minnie Du Temple of Albia, and two brothers Edward of What Cheer and John of Albia. The body was removed to the Johnson funeral home to await completion of arrangements.
Funeral services for Isaac Howard, who died Saturday noon at his home 342 South Davis street, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in Oakview cemetery at Albia.
