Mrs. Margaret C. Areingdale, 72, wife of Arthur Areingdale, died at 2:40 p.m. Monday at her home of Ottumwa route 5. She was born June 28, 1872 at Ottumwa, the daughter of Michael and Ellen Rowland. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Urban Portell of Des Moines: two sons, Richard and Arthur Areingdale of Ottumwa, and two sisters, Mrs. Bridget Fogarty of Des Moines and Mrs. Anna Byrnes of Kansas City, and five grandchildren. Mrs. Areingdale was a member of St. Mary’s church and had lived in this community all her life. The body was removed from the Lester Jay funeral home to the Areingdale home this noon.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mary’s church in charge of the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. Interment will be made in Burns cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the home.
