Martin J. Roach, 65, died at his home, 329 East Park avenue at 10:45 p.m. Friday. He was the son of Edmond and Margaret Roach and was born at Selma, May 10, 1879. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 37 years and an employee of the John Morrell & Co. for 16 years. Surviving are his wife Mary; two sons, Raymond Roach and LeRoy Roach of Ottumwa and five grandchildren. Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Mary McDermott and Mrs. Catherine McDavitt, both of Ottumwa, and Miss Ellen Roach of East Pleasant Plain, and three brothers, William Roach, Fairfield, Thomas Roach, Russell and Davis Roach, Mt. Pleasant. Three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of A.O. Smith of the Gospel Hall. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.
