Charles R. Worley, 86, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clyde Venator, 710 Gladstone street. The son of Stephen and Catherine Worley, he was born in Aurora, Indiana, April 13, 1858. He had been a resident of Wapello county during most of his lifetime and had lived in Ottumwa for 10 years. Survivors are his daughters and son, Mrs. Leonard Perrin of Chariton, Mrs. Howard Eakins and Mrs. Venator of Ottumwa, and Lew Worley of Broderick, California, seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers, Allen Worley, Frederic, Iowa and Oliver Worley, Wiggins, Colorado; and a sister, Mrs. Dora Chisman, Oneida, New York. He was preceded in death by his wife Emily, and a daughter.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Johnson’s chapel, conducted by the Rev. C. R. Reed of the Willard Street Methodist church. Burial in Chillicothe cemetery.
