Reuben Lee Klotz, 73, died suddenly at his home, 501 North Sheridan avenue, at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday. A retired farmer and auctioneer, he had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past three years. He was the son of Thomas and Annie Klotz and was born February 22, 1871, at Columbus Junction. Surviving are his wife, Esther; two sons, Corporal Richard M. Klotz, now in Italy, and Thomas R. Klotz of Ottumwa, and one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Ebarle of Nobel, Louisiana. A brother, Paul Klotz of Columbus Junction, and four sisters, Mrs. Don Darrow, Columbus Junction; Mrs. Levering Palmer, Carthage, Illinois, Mrs. Meda Blender, Peoria, Illinois, and Mrs. Hattie McGrew, Columbus Junction, also survive. The body was taken to the Johnson funeral chapel to await completion of funeral arrangements. Funeral services for Reuben Lee Klotz, who died at 10 p.m. Wednesday at his home, 501 North Sheridan avenue, will be held at Columbus Junction at 2 p.m. Sunday. The body will remain here at the Johnson funeral chapel until Saturday morning when it will be taken to Columbus Junction.
