Mrs. Mary E. Wendell, 80, whose son, W.I. Wendell lives at 326 North McLean street, died Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.A. Webber of North Hollywood, California. She is also survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Harry L. Roberts and Miss Gertrude Wendell, both of Pasadena, California. Mrs. Wendell left Ottumwa about 20 years ago after a resident here of 25 years. The body will be returned here, but no funeral arrangements have yet been made. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Wendell, who died Saturday in North Hollywood, California, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Traul funeral home in charge of the Rev. J.R. Estes of the First Baptist church. Burial will be made in Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ivor Carlson, Jack Graffitt, Frank Hampshire, J. Mills, Harry Vaughan and Jack Wrenn. The body will arrive Friday at 3:45 p.m. at the Traul funeral chapel, where it will remain until time for services.
