Mrs. Myrtle B. DeHart, widow of the late W.A. Dehart, former residents of 322 North McLean street, died in Lawndale, California at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lenna Halverson, according to word received by Mrs. A.R. Nicholson of 1015 West Second street. She is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Nicholson of Redondo Beach, California and two grandchildren. The body will be brought here for burial in the Ottumwa cemetery. Arrangements will be announced later. Mrs. Myrtle Belle DeHart, 58, a former Ottumwan, died Thursday at Lawndale, California. She was born March 21, 1886 in Ottumwa, the daughter of James W. and Martha Ellen Speer, and she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Leona Mae Halverson of Lawndale, and Mrs. Ellen Nicholson of Redondo Beach, California. She is also survived by one brother Leo B. Speer of Round Lake, Illinois, and by two grandchildren, Lois and Phillip Nicholson. Her husband, Alvin DeHart died in 1937. Mrs. DeHart had been in California for three years. She was a member of the First Christian church. The body will arrive here Wednesday morning and will be taken to the Lester Jay funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in charge of the Rev. Harold Roberts. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
