Mrs. Lelia Clare Gage, 62, died at 9;30 a.m. today at 401 North Clay street. She was born January 4, 1882 at Avalon, Missouri and is survived by her husband and the following children, Mrs. Louise Lindholm, Mrs. Katherine Traul, Mrs. Rose Randall and Stephen Gage, all of Ottumwa and Wheeler Gage of Bensonville, Illinois. She is also survived by six grandchildren, a brother Paul DeWitt of Bakersfield, California, and by two sisters, Mrs. Amber Towns and Mrs. Frank Sander, both of Ottumwa. Mrs. Gage was a member of the Milwaukee Women’s club, the ladies auxiliary to the Brotherhood of G.I. A. and of the Christian Science church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Chester Gage, who died Monday morning, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from the Traul funeral chapel. Mrs. Frank Knight, Christian Science reader, will be in charge and burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be C.E. Cross, H. Wick, E.K. Daugherty and James Peck, with active pallbearers listed as Walter Becker, Harry Vaughan, William Wilson, John Lindholm and Marcus McClelland and Harry Leonard. The body will remain at the home, 401 North Clay street until noon Wednesday with is it will be returned to the Traul chapel.
