Mrs. Johanna Hallberg, 83, formerly of Ottumwa, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.R. Pierce, in Cleveland, Ohio at 8 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Hallberg was a member of the First Lutheran church of Ottumwa. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Helga Pierce and Harold Hallberg, both of Cleveland, Ohio; Frank Hallberg of Chicago, Mrs. Alma Curtis of Des Moines and Mrs. Helen Bloss of Ottumwa. Her husband, Charles H. Hallberg, preceded her in death March 18, 1932. The body will arrive in Ottumwa at 4:30 p.m. today and will be taken to the Johnson funeral chapel to await funeral arrangements. The funeral of Mrs. Johanna Hallberg, former Ottumwan who died Saturday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E.R. Pierce in Cleveland, Ohio, will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the First Lutheran church. The Rev. Malvin H. Lundeen will be in charge and burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The casket will remain at Johnson’s chapel until 1 p.m. Wednesday.
