James A. Reeve, 64 of 338 East Second street, died at the Ottumwa hospital at 1:30 a.m. Sunday., He had been a resident of the Agency community and of Ottumwa for the past 18 years. Mr. Reeve was the son of John and Sabry Reeve, and was born at Colo, Iowa September 9, 1879. He is survived by his wife Cora; one son, Glen Reeve of Ottumwa; two daughters, Mrs. Blossow Newman, Agency, and June Reeve, Ottumwa; eight grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Fannie French, Des Moines, and one brother, Harry Reeve of Oakdale, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in charge of the Rev. L.E. Welshons, pastor of the First Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be in the Agency cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Frank Avery, Ralph McDowell, Frank Jackson, Bud Graham, Marion Christy and Ross Lanning.
