Mrs. Mabel M. Field, 75, wife of the late F.H. Field, former Ottumwa jeweler, died at 3 a.m. today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Manning of El Segundo, California. She was born February 5, 1869, in Brody’s Bend, Pennsylvania and is survived by the following children: Mrs. Manning, El Segundo; Harper Field, Ottumwa; Don Field and Mrs. Elizabeth Cronk, both of Chicago. Mrs. Field left Ottumwa about 20 years ago and has lived in California during that time. She was a charter member of the T.T. club here, the D.A.R. and Trinity Episcopal church. The body will be brought to the Lester Jay funeral home and funeral arrangements will be announced later. Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Field, who died in El Segundo, California, last Wednesday will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home here. The Rev. Louis H. Matheus, pastor of Trinity Episcopal church, will be in charge. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The body is scheduled to arrive in Ottumwa Sunday and will then be taken direct to the Lester Jay funeral home.
