Mrs. Nettie McCoy, 78, died suddenly at 10 a.m. today at her home, 106 East Third street. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abram Spencer, she was born in Missouri, January 26, 1866, and had been a resident of Ottumwa 35 years. Survivors are three daughters; Mrs. Mamie Goosey, Ottumwa; Mrs. Merle McNeely, Rock Island, Illinois, Mrs. Pearl Chadwick, Burlington; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a brother, James Spencer, Wichita Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, William, in 1914, and by a son, Earl W. and daughter Ethel. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel. Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie McCoy, who died Tuesday morning at her home at 106 East Third street, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday from the Johnson funeral chapel. The Rev. A.D. McClure will be in charge of the services and burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
