Mrs. Louisa R. Thompson Adcock, 93, above a resident of Ottumwa for the past 50 years, died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday at her home 802 Wabash avenue, after a lingering illness. The daughter of Erastus B. and Elizabeth Ann Dumford, she was born in Clairmont county, Ohio, March 10, 1851. She as a member of the Finley avenue Baptist church, the O.E.S. No. 112; the Wapello White Shrine No. 4; the S.O.O.B. No. 9; the Enterprise Rebekah lodge, No. 132; W.R.C. and the Daughters of the Union Veterans Tent No. 12. Survivors include a nephew, D.I. George, Ottumwa and two nieces Mrs. Vanilla Jackson and Mrs. Ethel Eva Moser, both of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her first husband, W.L. Thompson and by her second husband William Henry Adcock. Also, by a daughter, Eva and a grandson, Wayne Thompson Clark. Short services will be held at the residence, 802 Wabash avenue at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and at the Finely Avenue Baptist church at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Thurman Bowen, assisted by the Rev. Z. Everett Kellum. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The body was removed from the Johnson funeral chapel to the residence Sunday afternoon.
