Mrs. Mary Cravatzo Dies Monday At 82
Mrs. Mary Cravatzo, 82, a resident of Ottumwa since 1880, died Monday at 3:15 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.W. Wilson, 445 South Willard street. She was born April 18, 1852 at Cleve, Germany, daughter of Henry and Mary Zimmerman. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic church. Mrs. Cravatzo in survived by three sons, Henry of Los Angeles, Carl and Louis of Ottumwa: two daughters, Mrs. C.W. Wilson and Celia Cravatzo of Ottumwa; two sisters, Mrs. Lena Vandello of Ottumwa and Mrs. John Beaver of Santa Anna, California; three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman, March 20, 1943, and by one daughter, Anna, who died at the age of 8. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel and at 9 o’clock in St. Patrick’s Catholic church, where a requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rev. T.C. Donohoe. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Members of St. Patrick’s parish will meet at Johnson’s chapel at 8 p.m. to recite the rosary.
