Albert Talley Dies Here At 92
Albert Talley, 92, died at 5 p.m. Thursday at the home of his son, Perry Talley of 524 Minnesota street. He was born January 20, 1852 near Ioka, the son of Cypert and Angeline Talley. He spent his entire life in Richland and Keokuk counties with the exception of the last three years when he made his home here with his son. He was preceded in death by his wife, Caroline, March 10, 1940, and by one son in 1927. He is survived, besides his son in Ottumwa, by another son, Russell Talley of Richland; four daughters, Mrs. Anna Smithhart of Keota, Mrs. Jessie Lewman and Mrs. Mattie Lake of Richland and Mrs. Pearl Hubbs of Washington, 31 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Community funeral home in charge of the Rev. Marlin Dawson, pastor of the Friends Church in Richland. Burial will be made at the Bluepoint cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral parlors until time for services. His grandchildren will act as pallbearers.
