Mrs. Enda Mary Scott, 74, died at 10 a.m. Sunday at her home 2001 East Main Street. The daughter of Cyrus and Phoebe Pratt, she was born in Knox county near Abingdon, Illinois, July 16, 1869, and had been a resident of Ottumwa 50 years. She was married to Charles Scott, May 18, 1892, Murray, Iowa. He died August 27, 1936. Mrs. Scott was a member of Wesley Methodist church. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Mary Lewis of Burlington and Mrs. Kettie Ferree, Ottumwa, three sons, Russell Scott of Davenport, D.R. and Arnold Scott, both of Ottumwa, a granddaughter, Mrs. Maurine King, who was reared in the Scott home, 11 other grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also, two nieces, Mrs. Vere Vallicott of Kennsburg, Colorado, and Mrs. Fay Goodwin of Lincoln, Nebraska. Two daughters and a son, and a grandson preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Johnson’s funeral chapel, the Rev. R.C. Keagy of Wesley church in charge, assisted by the Rev. Charles Albin of the Church of the Brethren. The casket was taken to the home this noon and will be returned to the chapel Tuesday morning.
