William Franklin Hart, 78, died at 7 p.m. Monday at his home about 3 ½ miles northwest of Hedrick after being in poor health several years. He was a son of B.F. and Eunice Hart and was born near Pekin, Illinois. He came to Iowa when he was 22 years old and was married to Miss Alice Kitterman in November 1909. Besides his wife he is survived by three sons, Dale with the Seabees in the Alaskan area, Mac with the Army Air Corps in Italy and Kenneth at home, and a sister, Mrs. Elijah Fuller of Hedrick. Funeral services will be at the Union Chapel church west of Hedrick at 2 p.m. Wednesday in charge of the Rev. Nelson Murdock and burial will be in the Able cemetery. The body is at the Community funeral parlors in Ottumwa, where it will remain until the time for the services.
