Riley Michael Moll, 35, died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Moll of Ottumwa route 5. He was born in Wapello county October 10, 1905, the son of John and Mary Moll. He lived in this county all his life and operated a dairy farm near Ottumwa. He is survived besides his parents by two sisters, Mrs. Mable Bailey and Mrs. Irene McFadden of Ottumwa, and three brothers Marcus Moll in Alaska, John Moll Jr. and Dan Moll of Ottumwa. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic church and the Holy Name society. The body has been taken from the Lester Jay funeral home to the home of his parents until funeral arrangements are completed.
Funeral service for Riley Moll, who died Tuesday night will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic church with a requiem high mass celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers with be Mike Mier, Joes Clark, Marvin McCartney, Craig Fuller, Charlie Shephard and Henry Shoemaker. The Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock tonight at the J.H. Moll home, Ottumwa route 8.
The funeral of Riley Moll, announced for Saturday, has been postponed until Monday to await the arrival of his brother, Marcus Moll, from the Alcan highway region. Services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Mary’s Catholic church in charge of Msgr. J.M. Walsh. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
