Mrs. Mary E. Zaubitzer, 42, wife of Fred Zaubitzer, Ottumwa route 1, died at 12:15 Wednesday at the University hospital at Iowa City. She was the daughter of Jeff and Carla Parks and was born in Ottumwa, August 10, 1901, and lived here all her life. She is survived besides her husband by 10 children by a former marriage, four sons, William and Dwayne Brown and Junior and Clyde McCarty, all at home; six daughters, Mrs. Leaven Hurd of East Moline, Illinois, Mrs. Pauline Knight and Mrs. Dorothy Elkins of Ottumwa and Wyvonne Brown, Gertrude Brown and Kaye McCarty, all at home; her mother Mrs. Clara Parks of Ottumwa; one brother, Harry Parks of Ottumwa and one sister, Mrs. Lydia Robinson of Ottumwa. The body is at the Johnson funeral home awaiting the completion of arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mary E. Zaubitzer, wife of Fred Zaubitzer of Ottumwa route 1 who died Wednesday at the University hospital in Iowa City, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Johnson funeral chapel. The Rev. A.D. McClure will be in charge of the services and burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
