Obituary From “Ottumwa Daily Courier,” Monday, April 4, 1932, Page 11:

MRS. ELLA HANSHAW.

Mrs. Ella Hanshaw, 75 years old, widow of Charles Hanshaw, died suddenly Saturday night at 10:55 at her home, 236 South Davis street. She had been in ill health. She is survived by three sons, Harvey Marts and Alfred M. Marts, both of Ottumwa; and Marion Marts, of Cheyenne, Wyo.; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Ben Reser and Mrs. J.W. Eastley [sic-should be Easterly] both of Rossville, Kan. Mrs. Hanshaw was a member of the Davis Street Christian church, Enterprise Rebekah lodge No. 132, and past president and member of the Women’s Relief Corps, No. 327. The body has been removed to the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting the completion of funeral arrangements.

“HANSHAW SERVICES,” From “Ottumwa Daily Courier,” Tuesday, April 5, 1932, Page 13:

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Hanshaw, who died Saturday night at her home, 236 South Davis street, will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence and at 2:30 p.m. from the Davis Street Christian church, conducted by the Rev. Roy C. Leeds, pastor. Burial will be made in Shaul cemetery. The Women’s Relief Corps No. 327, of which she was a member, will have its services at the church and the Enterprise Rebekah lodge No. 132, of which she was also a member, will have its services at the grave. The body will be removed from the Johnson funeral chapel to the home at 4 p.m. today, where friends may call.
