Mrs. Ruth Stevens, 26, wife of Floyd Stevens, died Sunday morning at her home in Portland, Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens moved there five months ago from Ottumwa. Beside her husband, she is survived by a son Jackie; her mother, Mrs. Harry A. Schenck of Ottumwa; her father William P. Troutfetter, Ottumwa; Russell Troutfetter of Cedar Falls; Private Rollin Troutfetter, Lowry Field, Colorado, and Ross of Portland; also, a sister Mrs. Ruby Olney, Des Moines. The body is being brought to Johnson’s funeral chapel here, arrangements to be announced later.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Stevens, 26, the former Ruth Troutfetter of Ottumwa, who died at 1:30 p.m. February 6 at Portland, Oregon, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Johnson funeral chapel conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery. The body will arrive in Ottumwa late today and will be taken to the Johnson chapel.
