Mrs. Alice E. Collingwood, 84, former resident of Ottumwa, died at Mercy hospital, Davenport early today. Her residence here was at 810 Wabash avenue and her husband, Simon P. Collingwood, preceded her in death January 10, 1943. She was born January 1, 1860. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Irvin Walker, Davenport; two grandchildren. Donald I. Walker, in the Army, and Jack H. Walker, Davenport and two great grandchildren. She was a member of the Plymouth Congregational church here before moving to Davenport a year ago. The body will be brought to the Johnson funeral chapel here pending arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice E. Collingwood, former Ottumwan who died Sunday morning at Mercy hospital in Davenport, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson’s chapel. The Rev. Z. Everett Kellum of the Free Methodist church will be in charge and burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arthur Woodell, Herbert Johnson, George Wehr, Zora Cohagen, Edward Bray and Earl Harrington. Mrs. Collinwood, whose home here was at 810 Wabash avenue, was born January 1, 1860, at Jacksonville, Illinois. She was married June 14, 1881, to Simon P. Collingwood, at Seymour. He died January 19, 1943.
