Mrs. Anna Louisa Swanson, 77, resident of Ottumwa for 50 years died at 1:55 p.m. Sunday at her home on North Caldwell street. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Peterson, she was born June 7, 1866, in Sweden and came to America in 1889. She was married to John Swanson April 7, 1891, in Ottumwa. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran church. Survivors include her husband: a daughter, Mrs. Signa Peterson, Ottumwa; a sister Mrs. Emma Berggren, living in Sweden; and three grandchildren, Donald Peterson, in the Navy and Ruth and Kenneth Peterson both of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran church, conducted by the Rev. W. E. Wendt. Burial will be Memorial Lawn cemetery. The body will remain at the Johnson funeral chapel until the hour of services.
