G. Willis Workman, 69, died at 9 a.m. today at his home, 206 North Sheridan avenue. He was born September 10, 1874, in Wapello county, the son of Joseph W. and Phoebe Workman. He was married August 5, 1902, to Miss Harriett Walker of Ottumwa and lived his entire life in this community. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Miss Beatrice Workman of Ottumwa. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Harry E. Swenson of Ottumwa. The body will remain at the Lester Jay funeral home until funeral arrangements are completed.
Funeral services for G. Willis Workman, who died Tuesday morning at his home 206 North Sheridan avenue, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Lester jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. Harold Roberts of the First Christian church. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery and the casket will be closed at the beginning of the services. Pallbearers will be Fritz Heinje, Floyd Ritter, Ernest Anderson, Russell Day, Elmer Skinner and Fred Mendenhall.
