John David Kelley, 48, of 315 North Holt street, died at 9:15 p.m. Sunday at the St. Joseph hospital. Born September, 1, 1896, at Media, Illinois he had been a resident of Ottumwa the past 38 years and was a coal trucker by occupation He was a member of St. Mary’s church., Survivors include; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Stroud, Davenport, and Mrs. Gwendolyn Swanson, of Ottumwa; two grandchildren; a brother, William Kelley, Davenport, and three sisters, Mrs. S.J. Holewa, Minneapolis, and Mrs. M F. McNerney and Mrs. Walter Heady, both of Ottumwa. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death. The body was removed to the Moroney funeral home where services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and at 9 o’clock at St. Mary’s church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. celebrating a requiem high mass. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Members of the parish will meet at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday to recite the rosary.
