James Walter Van Dyke, 61 a former Ottumwan, died this morning in Middletown. He was an employee of the Burlington railroad and had lived in Ottumwa until 10 years ago. He was born august 28, 1882 in Centerville, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ollie Van Dyke, one son, Banford Van Dyke of Fort Madison, a daughter, Mrs. Armour Griggs of Washington, and a stepson, Lee, Sanders of Fort Madison. The body will be brought to the Lester Jay funeral home Monday morning and funeral services will be held there at 1:30 p.m. Monday with burial in Shaul cemetery.
