Mrs. Jessie Bales, 85, widow of Albert B. Bales, died Wednesday at her home, 3033 Fourth avenue, Kansas City. She was born in Tennessee and the family had lived in Ottumwa prior to moving to Kansas City. Bales died in 1913. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Edith Sander and Mrs. Grace Corey, both of Kansas City; a sister Mrs. Sarah Leach of Camp Point, Illinois. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday at the Carroll Reece funeral home in charge of the Rev. R. C. Keagy. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
