Jeffrey Wright, 79, died at his home three miles west of Ottumwa at 2 p.m. Thursday after four years’ illness. He had been a resident of Ottumwa about 16 years and was preceded in death by his first wife and two children. He is survived by his wife , Mrs. Della Wright; two brothers, W.M. Wright of Hedrick and S.E. Wright of Farson; four sisters, Mrs. W.M. Crouch of McAllen, Texas, Mrs. Ella Bottorff of Ottumwa, Mrs. Della Hupp of Farson, Mrs. Grace Miller of McAllen, Texas. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Community funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. Thurman Bowen of the Finley Avenue Baptist church. Burial will be in Competine cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral chapel unit the time for the service.
