Everette V. Williams, 78, of Newton Street Ottumwa route 5, died at the home of his nephew, Albert Williams, 808 South of Moore street, at 4:20 p.m. Friday. He was the son of Everett and Abigail Williams and was born in Monroe county, Iowa, April 6, 1865. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 25 years. Surviving are one son, Dwight F. Williams, Ottumwa route 5; 12 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two brothers, Charlie Williams, Eddyville and Joseph Williams, Chariton. His wife Ann and one son, Clyde, preceded him in death. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting arrangements. Funeral services for Everett V. Williams of Newton Street, who died Friday at the home of his nephew, Albert Williams, 808 South Moore street, will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Steele, William Mosher, Chester Hull, Charles Raines, Arthur McMillen and Harry Kellar.
