Funeral Saturday For Local Soldier
Funeral services for Corporal William D. Bottorff, 25, son of Mrs. Sallie Smith, former Ottumwa now living in Creston, who died November 19 in Canada while en route home from Alaska after an illness, will be held at the Johnson funeral chapel at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Luther Booth, chaplain at the Ottumwa Naval Air station. Burial will be in Brooks cemetery west of Hedrick. The casket is scheduled to arrive in Ottumwa at 8:25 a.m. Saturday.
