Mrs. Sam Redman, 59, wife of Sam Redman, local grocer, died suddenly at her home 106 North Sheridan avenue, at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. She was born in England, May 17, 1884, and had lived in this country since her early childhood. She was a member of the Hadassah, and of the Ottumwa Chapter No. 112, O.E.S. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Harris Goodman, Kansas City; five brothers, Max and Al Goodman, living in Mexico, Louis Goodman, Denver, Colorado, and Julius and Moe Goodman, Kansas City; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Leo Schwartz, Cleveland, Ohio and two stepsons, Dave Redman, Ottumwa, and Herman Redman, Burlington. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Lester Jay funeral chapel, in charge of Rabbi Jacob Richman. Burial will be in the Ottumwa Jewish community.
