Harry R. Webber, 55, a brick mason died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday at 333 Appanoose street after an illness of four months. He had been mason foreman for the Max Mildenstein Construction Co. of Cedar Rapids for several years, but had been employed by Solitt, Lancaster & White at the Ottumwa Naval Air station for about eight months. Webber worked and lived in Ottumwa during the construction of the First Presbyterian church returning when he began work at the air station. He was a member of The Bricklayer, Mason and Plasterer union No. 9. He was born in Hastings, Nebraska September 4, 1888. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Webber, here; a daughter, Mrs. R.A. Reed of Santa Monica, California, and a brother, Fred H. Webber of Omaha. The body is at the Carroll Reece funeral home.
Funeral services for Harry R. Webber, who died Thursday evening at 333 Appanoose street, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday from the Carroll Reece funeral home. The Rev. F.E. Pietz, pastor of the St. Paul’s Lutheran church, will have charge of the services and burial will be in Glenwood cemetery at Cedar Rapids. Members of the Bricklayers, Masons and plasterer’s union No. 9 will serve as pallbearers.
