Mrs. Georgia Anna Davis, 67, wife of Hiram U. Davis, 522 South Ransom street, died at her home at 9 a.m. Thursday. She had lived most of her life in the Ottumwa area. She was the daughter of Charles and Eliza Ferris and was born July 8, 1876, in Wapello county. She was a member of the Baptist church at Murray. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Grace Whitney and Mrs. Ethel Nelson, both of Ottumwa; two sons. Carroll A. and Harold E. Davis, both of Ottumwa; a brother J.W. Ferris, Des Moines; three sisters, Mrs. Ida Whiteman, Boise, Idaho, and Mrs. Ray Ransom and Mrs. Gertrude White, both of St. Joseph, Missouri and eight grandchildren. The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday in charge of the Rev. C.R. Reed, assisted by the Rev. George W. Crosby. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
