Carl Remy, 84, former employee of the Ottumwa public school system died late Monday at his home in Rock Island, Illinois. He moved from Ottumwa about 40 years ago. He married Emma Rabens October 20, 1890, who preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Louise Remy; a son, Edward C. Remy and a grandchild all of Rock Island. The body will be brought to the Lester Jay funeral home Wednesday morning, where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Louis M. Matheus, pastor of Trinity Episcopal church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
