Frank Miller Mast, 75, prominent Wapello county farmer, died at 7:30 a.m. today at his home in Agency after a period of failing health. He was born in this county April 1, 1868, the son of J.G. and Fannie Mast. He was born and lived most of his life on a farm north of Ottumwa moving about a year ago when the homestead became part of the Naval Air station. Mr. Mast besides taking an interest in agricultural matters was active in community affairs. He was a member of the Wilson Presbyterian church and served as ruling elder of the church community for more than 45 years. Survivors include his wife; Ida; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret E. Elliott, Ottumwa, route 5; two sons, Lt. T. M. Mast U.S.N.R. Portland, Oregon, and Donald E. Mast, Burbank, California and two brothers, William H. Mast, Davenport and Walter Mast, Winthrop, Arkansas.
Funeral Services for Frank. M. Mast, prominent Wapello county farmer who died early Wednesday at his home in Agency, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lester Jay funeral home conducted by the Rev. Lloyd C. Snyder. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The body will be in state at the funeral home until time for services, when the casket will be closed.
