Fred R. Fox, 85, died at 8 p.m. Friday at his home, 409 North Clay Street. He was born October 10, 1859 in Wisconsin, the son of Dexter and Hulda Fox. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Fox and two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Kephart of Ottumwa and Mrs. Mark McCaffrey of Chicago. Three grandchildren also survive. He had been a Milwaukee engineer for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1932. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday from the Lester Jay funeral home in charge of the Rev. Harold Roberts. Burial will be in the Ottumwa cemetery.
