Mrs. Anzella Canfield, 87, a resident of Wapello county practically all of her life, died at the Eakins nursing home, 333 Appanoose, street at 5 p.m. Monday. She lived on Blakesburg route 2. Mrs. Canfield was the daughter of David and Elizabeth Jones and was born in Virginia, October 5, 1855. She was a member of the Christiansburg church. Surviving are one son, Delmar Canfield, Blakesburg route 2; two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Smith, Blakesburg route 2, and Mrs. Eva Jewett, Santa Rosa California, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her husband Henry Canfield, preceded her is death in 1917, as did one son Ray. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. J.A.E. Cunningham pastor of the Bales burg Methodist church. Burial will be in Chisman cemetery.
