L.B. Mitchell Dies At Age 76
Levi B. Mitchell 76, died at his home, 332 Richmond avenue, at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday. He was the son of James and Kathryn Mitchell and was born in Harrison county, Missouri, October 10, 1866. He had been a resident of Ottumwa for the past 17 years. He was a member of the Christian church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Updegraff of Boone; two sons, Bert Mitchell, Ottumwa and James Mitchell, in the Navy stationed in Alaska; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, and a brother , Clarence Mitchell, Bethany, Missouri. He was preceded in by his wife Laura, in 1931, also by a sister and a brother.
