Mrs. Sidna M. Eakins, 66, wife of James H. Eakins, 915 Tuttle street, dies at the Ottumwa hospital Thursday at 8:30 p.m. The daughter of William and Jane Ingles she was born in Dallas county, Iowa, October 1, 1876. She has been a resident of Ottumwa for 56 years. Survivors are her husband; one son James F. Ingles of New York, in the merchant marine; two step children, Mrs. Helen Vest of Ottumwa and Robert L. Eakins of Ottumwa; an adopted daughter Mrs. Ethel Smith of Ottumwa; one sister; Mrs. John Fuller, Ottumwa; and two brothers, Roy Ingles of Ottumwa and Charles of Racine, Wisconsin. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Johnson funeral chapel conducted by the Rev. A.D. McClure. Pallbearers will be Earl Fulmer, Kermit Fulmer, Robert Eakins, Joel Vest Jr. and Cecil Smith.
