Ottumwa Resident For 52 Years Dies
Mrs. Nancy Ellen Brewer, 79, resident of Ottumwa for the past 52 years, died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday at her home, 1132 Hayne street. She was the wife of Clinton L. Brewer. The daughter of Phillip and Rose Dotson, she was born November 3, 1863, near Unionville, Iowa. She was married September 1, 1884. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Slapinski, Ottumwa; two sons, C. L. Brewer and F.E. Brewer both of Ottumwa; a brother William Dotson of Great Falls, Montana; 10 grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren. She was a member of the East End Presbyterian church and of the Woodman circle. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. George T. Hubbard of the East End Presbyterian church. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery
