W.L. Parker, 76, of 701 Glenwood avenue, died at 1:25 a.m. today at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Dean, at Albia. He was born September 8, 1866, at Carroliton, Missouri, and came to Ottumwa in 1900 in the employ of the Dain Manufacturing Co. He retired from that concern in 1930. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church here and of the Woodmen of the World lodge. Survivors include his wife, Lillian; a son, Walter Parker, Norfolk, Virginia; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, and a brother, John Parker, Carroliton, Missouri. Funeral services and burial will be in Ottumwa later.
Funeral services for W.L. Parker of 701 Glenwood avenue, who died Friday at Albia, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Young of Albia. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. Pallbearers will be: O.W. Kinnear, John Ware, John Shartzer, Jack Shipley, Guy Horton and Frank Barrier.
