Mrs. Catherine Maloney, 58, and the wife of John Maloney of 1329 North Van Buren street, died at 8:45 p.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph hospital. She was born July 13, 1884 and lived in Ottumwa her entire life. She was married October 21, 1919 and is survived by her husband and the following brothers and sisters; Garry Schmidt, Spokane, Washington, Mrs. Ivan Millard, Miss Dorothy Schmidt, Miss Elizabeth Schmidt, Henry, Frank, Herman, Bernard, Joseph and Paul Schmidt all of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Vaughan funeral chapel and at 9:30 from the St. Mary’s Catholic church. A requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. and burial will be in Calvary cemetery. Members of General Shields council 888, Knights of Columbus, will meet at their home on West Third street, at 7:30 o’clock the evening when they will go to the Vaughan chapel to recite the rosary.
