Mrs. Alice Thomas, 73, of 702 Queen Ann avenue died at 11:05 a.m. today at the St. Joseph hospital. She was born in Missouri September 10, 1869, the daughter of the Green and Nancy Snell and had lived in Ottumwa for the 30 years. She was a member of the Davis Street Christian church and the King’s Guards class of that church. She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Mrs. A.W. Neff of Ottumwa, Mrs. F. H. Bourg of Nebraska City, Nebraska. Mrs. W. E. Pherigo, of Ottumwa Roy W. Thomas of Wilton Junction and V. L. Post of Fremont. She is also survived by three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and by two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Donne McFadden of Ottumwa. Mrs. Ibby Judson of Davenport, James Snell of Joplin. Mr. and Mrs. John Snell of Seedy, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Thomas, 702 Queen Ann avenue, who died at the St. Joseph’s hospital at 11:05 a.m. Saturday will be held at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel and from the Davis Street Christian church at 2 p.m. Services will be in charge of the Rev. E.L. Frost and burial will be in Shaul cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Krieger, Glen Wisdom, Harry Patrick, Ben Osterberg, Harry D. Gray and Burnett Pherigo.
