Mrs. J.B. West, the former May Peck, died Thursday, February 4, at her home in Haines City, Florida. She was born March 19, 1858, the daughter of Jesse and Margaret Bowlin Peck, and was married on January 1, 1890, to J.B. West who survives her. She is also survived by one son, T.H. West, of Miami, Florida and a sister, Mrs. L.M. Campbell, of Ottumwa. One daughter preceded her in death. She was a member of chapter No. 1 Order of Easter Star, at Sheridan, Wyoming and a member of the degree of Honor lodge of Ottumwa. Funeral serices will be hled at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Trinity Episcopal church in charge of the Rev. L. H. Matheus. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery. The body will be at the Lester Jay funeral home until 1 p.m. Thursday when it will be taken to the church. Mrs. J.B. West of Haines City, Florida, died at Haines City at 9 a.m. today according to word received here by Mrs. L.M. Campbell, 528 East Second street, her sister. She is survived by her husband: a son, Thomas H. West of Richmond, Virginia, and one sister, Mrs. Campbell. The body will be brought to Ottumwa for burial. Funeral services will be at the Lester Jay funeral home. Mrs. West was born and remained here and was married, (obit cut off at this point)
