Mrs. Mae Jones, 50, resident of Ottumwa for the past 18 years, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday at her home 1609 Calvin Place. She was the daughter of John and Pauline Short and was born in Howard county, Missouri, May 2, 1892. She was a member of the East End Christian church. Survivors include her husband Ambers Jones, a son, Donald Jones at home; a daughter Dorothy Jean Jones, at home, and a brother, Aubrey Short of Moberly, Missouri. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson funeral chapel, conducted by the Rev. E.M. Boyer. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
