Laura Shoats, 72, died at 3 a.m. today at the Wapello county home where she had been a resident for 44 years. Short funeral services were held this afternoon at the Carroll Reece funeral home, conducted by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. Burial will be in Ottumwa cemetery.
