Mrs. Anna A. Hoffman, 78, wife of Frank Hoffman, 209 North Moore street, died at her home at 12:35 p.m. Thursday. She had been a resident of Ottumwa for 50 years. The daughter of Patrick and Margaret Lawler, she was born in Wapello county February 8, 1867. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Mills, Ottumwa, and four grandchildren, William, Robert Leo and Joseph Mills, all of Ottumwa. Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Johnson funeral chapel and at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's church where a requiem high mass will be celebrated by the Rev. T.C. Donohoe. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The rosary will be recited at Johnson's at 8 o'clock this evening.
