Mrs. Delia Etta Lanman, 51, wife of Nelson R. Lanman, route, 5 Ottumwa, died at 6:45 a.m. today at the St. Joseph hospital. The daughter of William E. and Mary Etta Giffen she was born in Sigourney, March 15, 1891. She had been a resident of this community for 21 years. Survivors are her husband, a son, Lloyd A. Wood, Ottumwa; a daughter Mrs. Gladys Marie Durham, Elson; her mother, Mrs. W.E. Giffen, Haysville; a sister Mrs. Jessie Abrams, Hedrick and a brother Frank Giffen, Hedrick. The funeral will be a 1 p.m. Friday at Johnson's chapel, conducted by the Rev. A. D. McClure. Burial will be in Mt. Zion cemetery, two and one-half miles northeast of Martinsburg.
