Mrs. Ida Denny Wheeler, 79, widow of A.L. Wheeler, died at her home, 723 Norris street, at 8:50 p.m. Friday. She was born in Ottumwa, January 17, 1863, the daughter of Robert F. and Susan Jarvis Denny. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Verda Jones, Los Angeles; Mrs. R.E. Collins, Oskaloosa; Mrs. R.R. Kibler, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Lena Hendren, Hastings Nebraska, two brothers, James Denny, Bloomfield, and Gilbert Denny, Superior, Wisconsin. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, the Lend-a-Hand circle of the King's Daughters and several other organizations. A Christian Science service will be held Monday at the Lester Jay funeral home, follow by burial in Ottumwa cemetery.
Rites Today
Christian Science services were to be held at 2 p.m. today at the Lester Jay funeral home for Mrs. Ida Denny Wheeler, who died Friday evening. Interment will be in the Ottumwa cemetery later in the week. Pallbearers will be Frank Sanders, Charles Breckman, Charles Harness, Chester Gage, Stephen Gage and Judge E.K. Daugherty. Mrs. Wheeler widow of A.L. Wheeler was a life long resident of Ottumwa. She was 79 years old.
