Mrs. Nora Guthrie, 73, of 1020 West Main street, died at her home at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. The daughter of Dennis and Catherine Sullivan, she was born in Illinois December 18, 1868. She had lived in Ottumwa the past 18 years. She was married to Willis A. Guthrie, October 29, 1924, and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Neil Kennedy of Oshkosh, Nebraska, Mrs. Josephine Kreeger of Drummond, Wisconsin and Mrs. Kate Rama of Ottumwa. The body was removed to the Johnson funeral chapel pending arrangements.
Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Guthrie of 1029 West Main street, who died Tuesday, will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's church, conducted by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. J.M. Walsh V.F. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. The body will remain at the Johnson funeral chapel until time for services. Pallbearers will be Thomas Eskew, Vreeland Tharp, Harold Henson, Thomas Hammerly, George Dean and Ernest Pohlson.
